A hammermill is a rock crusher used in various industries to reduce the material size, such as limestone, coal, slags, gypsum, glass. It uses the high-speed rotary hammer to impact the ore, the finished product size is adjustable by controlling the grate openings, rotor speed, hammer capacity, etc.

Crusher hammers are the most important wear parts in the plants. The normal material for crusher hammers is manganese. However, manganese hammers do not have a good working life in crushing some stones. Based on different working conditions, we use different matrix materials.

As per our knowledge, the increase of metal material’s wear resistance (or hardness) is usually accompanied by a decrease in impact resistance (or toughness). Our martensitic steel blow bar can reach both wear resistance and impact resistance. The hardness can reach HRC50-55. With the ceramic insert material, the working life of the hammer and blow bar is greatly extended.
